PRESS RELEASE: Paximal and Juristat Announce Strategic Collaboration to Advance Patent Procurement Innovation

Partnership pairs Juristat’s industry-leading patent analytics with Paximal’s prosecution expertise; Paximal co-founders Ian Schick and Zakery Tutino to advise Juristat

NEW YORK, NY and LOS ANGELES, CA— May 6, 2026 — Paximal, Inc. and Juristat, Inc. today announced a strategic collaboration that brings together two leaders in patent innovation. Under the agreement, Juristat will provide Paximal with access to its MCP server, enabling Paximal to leverage Juristat’s rich datasets — including examiner allowance rates, art unit statistics, prosecution history, office action outcomes, forward citation data, maintenance fee analytics, and appeals outcomes — to inform and enhance its patent document workflows.

As part of the collaboration, Paximal co-founders Ian Schick and Zakery Tutino will serve as advisors to Juristat. Schick and Tutino bring deep domain expertise in patent prosecution workflows, AI-assisted drafting, and the practical realities facing today’s prosecution teams. In their advisory capacities, they will provide strategic guidance to Juristat’s leadership as the company continues to expand its data and AI offerings for the patent bar.

“Much of patent AI is still learning from the surface layer of the system: public filings, familiar language, and historical drafting patterns. The real opportunity is to connect patent document workflows to prosecution intelligence: examiner behavior, art unit patterns, office action outcomes, appeal history, and the signals that actually shape patent value. Juristat has built one of the most important data assets in patent practice, and connecting that intelligence to Paximal’s agentic workflows moves the market toward patent work product grounded in evidence, not imitation,” said Ian Schick, CEO of Paximal.

“We’re thrilled to have Ian and Zak in our corner as advisors. Their experience building tools that prosecution teams actually want to use — and their understanding of where the practice is heading — will be invaluable as Juristat continues to push the boundaries of what patent intelligence can do. This collaboration reflects our commitment to working with the best builders in the space to make prosecution smarter, faster, and more strategic,” said Lauren Bonner, CEO of Juristat.

Patent procurement is in the middle of its biggest transformation in a generation. With this collaboration, Paximal and Juristat are putting a stake in the ground: the firms and teams that win the next decade will be the ones that pair the deepest patent data with the smartest workflows — and that’s exactly what this partnership is built to deliver.
