Paximal co-founder and CEO Ian Schick, PhD, Esq, presented "AI in Patent Preparation & Prosecution" to the Intellectual Property Owners Association (IPO) Patent Agent Committee.

The Patent Agent Committee brings together registered practitioners focused on the day-to-day craft of preparing and prosecuting patent applications, the work that sits at the heart of what Paximal is built to support.

Ian's session applied the patent-lifecycle framework—reading, writing, reviewing, analyzing, and portfolio management—specifically to the tasks patent agents own, and examined how agentic drafting changes each one. Rather than a product pitch, the talk was a practical look at how AI reshapes preparation and prosecution while keeping the practitioner firmly in control of strategy and quality.
